Chapter One... Close Well... This is the brief... Rusty Harris, a man of simple needs, chooses to fight against Corporate Authorities and gets called an Environmental Terrorist! I love the Irony... Ross Mining calling Greenies Environmental Terrorists. Ross Mining beat up the Greenies in secret, attacking them in the woods. Ross Mining threatened them, then placed legal and illegal impediments across public roads... On and on it went... But the Greenies hung in there, and WON. At least, they have won for the moment. Perhaps we should close this chapter with Rusty's statement to the Police: RUSTY 'S STATEMENT On the 24th December, at about 5am I, Phillip Harris, (Rusty) went to a 'blockade' which was being held on Nutshell Rd., and Timbarra Rd. I parked my vehicle about 50m from the blockade and approached on foot. As I was walking towards the blockade I was approached by Benjamin Smith (Hawks) who told me that Bruce Jackson (a police officer known to me and present at the blockade at this time) was "being brutal to the protesters". He had tipped all the protestors fresh water out on the road and taken their food supplies and put them in his Police truck along with a sledgehammer belonging to the protestors. Bruce Jackson then walked up to me and reached out and ripped my torch from around my neck where it was hanging by a cord. He then started to grab at my testicles. I asked him "what are you doing?" and pushed his hands away. He then said "have you got a knife on you? Have you got a knife on you?" I then told him that he is not going to get away with this behavior and why had no charges been laid yet of attempted murder, entrapment and assault. This was in relation to charges I had made against Ross Mining employees and other people involved in an incident on the 20~ October where 1 and my companions had been attacked and injured. (See "Hawk" under Warriors Link). Bruce Jackson said nothing and walked away. I then went back to my car and got my video camera and started filming all that was going on there. Bruce Jackson came up to me and told me he did not want to be recorded. I kept on filming everything happening. I did not film him specifically. After a while I passed the camera over to Manfred, another protestor. Nothing was ever done, of course... Benjamin Smith (Hawks) is still suffering from the beating he received that day... the beating that is on video, and which has been presented to the Police for their review. Nothing has been done in regards the beatings handed out to numerous other protesters... all of which are on video, all of which were presented to the Police for review.
