Ancient Singing Bowl (Tibetan Monk Bowl) The sound you hear on this page is from a 15th Century Tibetan Bowl. It was owned by one of the great Rimpoche's and some of the magic he imbued in its tone is still present. It is a "Triple Tone" bowl, in that when properly applied, you can get a 3 tone harmonic. Apologies in advance for the "scratchey" sound of the wood sound mallet ... it is not the right type of wood, but we thought it better to get you something than nothing. Care should be taken when selecting the right bowl for yourself. Many so called "Tibetan" bowls are made in Cambodia, and are of dubious quality. Contact us if you wish to obtain a high quality, practitioner standard singing bowl. |
