Law of the Ever Expanding Circle

This is all ancient knowledge. We all hear the term "Wisdom of the Ancients" but in the fast pace and incredible technology of the modern day, it does not seem all that relevant. In fact, it tends to read as being a little over the top, and rather pointless.

After all, there were no computers, no international flights, no motorcars. Those ancients just sat about staring at their navels, and wondering why the moon came and went like it did. It was hardly an exciting world … 

We like to think we are more civilised, more sophisticated, more knowledgeable now-a-days. But the outer dressings of technology are not a good representation of civilisation. Nor can we say that intellectual prowess, or the size of an army reflects the true nature of a civilised race. What then defines civilisation… Culture? Arts? Science??

In part, it is all of the above, but singularly none of these are IT. The ‘real’ nature of our culture, arts and science, and the true reflection of civilisation is held in the way society functions towards its minorities and its underprivileged. This might seem a radical statement by a modern socialist, but Plato uttered it some 2,500 years ago.

At this point in the year 2001 there is a tendency towards veneration of the minority by the bored middle classes. This is not a particularly good thing, and probably, given another decade or so, these same minorities will be persecuted once more.

This is simply the way of things. There is little integration or comprehensive acceptance of individuality and the nature of the individual in our current civilisation… and in this respect, the Ancient Greeks had it all over us.

Our societal idols are generally pop stars, movie stars and people who demonstrate fame and glitz… But in the ancient world, the thinker and philosopher was held as being worthy of fame. Now these people are called Nerds, and are shunned unless they work for Microsoft. This is probably why so much of the Sacred Geometry and the study of First Cause has fallen away from our educational system. It is 'uncool".

So tell me... Go back and look at the symbol at the top... Can you understand what it means? A second year student at any Pythagorean School had to recite a dialogue on the importance of this, or any other similar geometric symbol, and they would do far more than a dry dissertation. It was expected they would imbue the talk with an understanding of the spiritual aspect invoked by the Geometric perfection, if they were to gain passing grade.

The Olympic Rings symbolise the foundation of our Culture. Not because of the Olympics, but because they are one of the basic patterns that determine the link between Reason, the Physical World, and the Spiritual Reality. By not comprehending basic SOURCE information on such things as Geometry, we have cut ourselves off from the root of philosophy and conceptual logic.

Without a source understanding of the spiritual and practical applications of Sacred Geometry, our teachers cannot pass onto their charges anything of the vital spiritual forces behind what we call nature and mathematics. Instead of the Ever Expanding Circle, we have the never ending downwards spiral.

Here is where we have a chance to collect our forces, gather our strength, and learn to beat our freedom wings once more.
